I am afraid that boeing's problem is not with the production line, at least for now.
Their main issue is the construction of the 7 test airframes and the validation/certification of the 787 solution. Once that done, Production of the models will resume (rather say start in fact).
I am honestly really anxious to see this bird airbone!
But I am also pretty sure that there will be further delays. The delivery targets announced for 2009 are clearly "optimistic".
