Hi,

Well um I heard this on the news, and I love BA and the 777 so I found out a bit more. Thought you might like to hear this.

A British Airways 777 (BA flight 38 from Bangkok) has crash landed at London Heathrow; at around 11:47 our time last night. Apparently the twin engine jet lost power and practically dropped onto the runway, severing its' landing gear and severly damaging the undercarriage and wings. All onboard got out safely, the plane did not burst into flames and only few were injured. A credit to the 777 really!
The pilot has been quoted that the plane 'lost power' and seemed to use much more fuel than expected. Witnesses to the event have given evidence to the police, the plane was flying quite low and making a funny sound - not normal. It dropped onto the grass near the runway and skidded to a safe stop.
Poor boy! It is going to be one hell of an operation for him or a date with the scrapman....
