For those who aren't familiar with this term, VMU, is by definition Velocity Minimum Unstick, with is the lowest speed the plane is able to become airborne whilst the tail is dragging on the runway.

I heard from one my teachers that there was a Continental 777 that had a tailstrike and cracked its rear pressure bulkhead on takeoff when the dragging happened. Boeing helped them repair the plane and it was fixed and back in service.
