Started out around 6pm with Mark & I going to Harvey's for dinner (similar to McDonald's but better ) then going to Casino Niagara from 7-10pm. Extremely busy! Great live music/band/singers, 2 women walking around dressed like Las Vegas showgirls and a guy sitting at the bar wearing a huge balloon hat! Niagara Falls tonight was completely psychotic - MAJOR traffic and tons of people everywhere.
On the great side, Niagara Falls on New Year's Eve is a truly beautiful and magical place with the Falls lit up various colours, fireworks above the Falls and from the top of the Skylon Tower at 9pm and at Midnight, 25th Anniversary Winter Festival of Lights, etc.
From 11pm-12:35am, the following 3 performers outdoors:
1. Dennis DeYoung (ex lead singer of STYX) ... such a spectacular voice! He performed the following 4 songs ... The Best Of Times, Babe, Come Sail Away and Mr. Roboto - my favourite!!!
2. Honeymoon Suite ... surprisingly only performed one song - New Girl Now.
3. Loverboy ... really got the place rocking! Performed lots of songs, including the following 4 ... Hot Girl's In Love, Turn Me Loose, Working For The Weekend and The Kid Is Hot Tonight.
An enjoyable, fun New Year's Eve. It's now just after 1:30am and people in the neighbourhood are still shooting off fireworks, hooting & hollering, partying away ...
Happy New Year 2008 everybody!

Wish I Was There Jo. Would Love Too Those Bands & Argue Some Change With The One Armed Bandits.
Had No Plans For New Year But By 2 PM Some Unexpected Friends From Out Of Town Phoned Me & Asked Me To Join Them At Nathan Phillips Square.
So I Had A Quick Shower & 5 Tall Boys & Headed Downtown To Their Hotel.
Don't Ask Who The Bands Were...I Have No Idea. I Think One Band Had Something To Do With Dirty Black Teeth.
Anyway It Was A Pretty Good Time Especially For Their 12 Year Old Daughter Who Experienced A Hundred Firsts Of The Bright Lights Big City All In A Few Days.
We Were At The Fringes Of The Mosh Pit. Some Discomfortring Pushing & Crushing, But Nothing Serious.
We Did Get Crushed As We Left Though.
The Exits By The Ice Rink Bottlenecked.
At The End Of The Day We Did The Walk With The Crowd Down Queen & Up Yonge st With 47,000 Revellers.
I Ended Up Staying At The Hotel & The Next Day We Shopped & Dined.
Nothing Spectacular But It Was A Nice Time.
They Had Tickets For Tonight's Game, But I Wasn't Gonna Fork Out 200 Bucks For A Leafs Ticket So That Was Our Parting.
Off To Work For Me Tomorrow & They Head Back At 7 AM.
