I think it's pretty standard that if you don't hit the x dollar amount for free shipping no matter what the retailer the majority of them won't honor it if certain items are not in stock or sold out. In addition, its common that if you didn't purchase insurance which I imagine you didn't that you send the models back to the retailer who will refund your money, in which the retailer returns it to the manufacturer or what not, so with all due respect are you sure you're not complaining for the sake of complaining because if you have 3000+ dollars in your collection is 10 dollars or what not really something to complain about publicly? If you don't like it then you take your business elsewhere in the future.
