i've seen many of the planes with same problem.
Herpa 1/200 B747-8 plastic with rubber wheels have same problem and those also melt when in contact with plastic.
Herpa 1/200 B727-100 diecast with rubber wheels have same problem and those also melt when in contact with plastic.
Phoenix 1/200 B737-400 diecast with rubber wheels have same problem and those also melt when in contact with plastic.
I suspect that Starjets and Risesoon will have similar problems too.
I find that Herpa Premium and retrofit wheels have not had these problems just yet.
