Default Re: Indian Airlines Caravelle

These were delivery colours, however the IAC logo is oversized. The model is based on the old Dinky, without moving rear stairs. These used to be sold at Delhi and Bombay airport shops together with ex Dinky Comets and Viscounts in BEA red square markings. UNlike the others the Caravelle was entirely printed, the others had pretty cheap stickers that came off quickly. There were also smaller 747 with jewelled engines based on the Matchbox/Schabak 747 in 1/600 scale. These came in AI, BA and other airline colours. Pretty crude but nice toys for kids sitting in the lounge waiting for a plane a 2 in the morning.
