ill have to say the 707.....like LOT said, it is refered to as the plane that started the jet age (even though the Comet and Tu-104 were in service before it and the DC-8 shortly after) and its influence is still phisically preasent with the 737 series which features the same cabin cross-section and nose design. yes, the 747 really brought the playing field to the next level, but without the 707, would there have ever been a 747? sure the jet-age was already started and there was not a chance that it would decline, but the 707 really helped it along...
