Default Re: Boeing's Blended wing design Aircraft is under trials by NASA/Boeing

I Say This Was Boeng's Answer To Destroy The 80 Design Altogether. The 787 Was Publicly Announced & Touted By Boeing As The Direct Competitor
To The 80, But Let's Face It, It's Small.
The 787 Is Not A Direct Competitor To the 80, But An Aircraft To Fit A Specific & Growing Need For Point To Point Meduim Load & Thin Long Range Routes & Tremendous Operating Savings Over The 330.

IMO This Was Merely A Smokesreen While Boeing "Toyed" With The BWB Design. That's The REAL Competitor To The 380 & If It Is Developed It Would Kill Airbus' Opportunity To Break Even On The 380.
That Of Course My Opinion & Not To Be Taken As Fact. But Boeing Is Not Stupid. They Sideswiped The Entire A-340 Series With The Vastly Superior 777 & They PLANNED It That Way, Just As The 787 Was Designed To Sideswipe The 330 & Any Possible Improvements On The 330. Boeing PLANNED It That Way. And That Is Written Fact.
