Ok, where is there a shortage? When the oil fields were on fire and even after Katrina, when the refineries were putting out at a severely reduced rate, nobody ran out of gas. There has always been enough gas. No matter what we do to reduce consumption, OPEC will just reduce their production rate to either maintain or drive up the price. OPEC will never let the pumps run dry, doesn,t matter how high the price goes if you don't have product to sell you can't rake in those profits.
