Servus,

the source of the Mecater 707 is Ebay as well. There are no further paintworks applied except the new white of the upper fuselage. The model is not anymore in best condition, but as I said, difficult to get. The stand was taken from a second 727 which I got for low money due to the condition of the plane. I kept the stand for the 707 and gave the 727 to a friend for restauration. I have a mint 727 from Mecater as well.

The nose of the 727 is too fat, that's right. But these are promotional models with no engineering character, so no big point for critcism. I know people who can write books about the inaccuracy of 50 years old desktop models, but I wonder, why they don't build plastic models...
Mecater should have known the nose of the 727, since it's similar to the 707, which was already on the market.
