Negative on this stance. In THIS condition it is an old piece of metal and no fun to watch at it. I agree, that a restauration may not increase the value, but value isn't all. If somebody is only interested in the value, sell it in this condition.

I would make a potential restauration depending on the possibilities. As far as I know, there are no commercial (professional) decals available for CV-880 in 1/200, and THAT makes it difficult. A pure paint job is not recommended. Looking to the model, the paint does not look that bad. A replacement of the decals could do it, provided you can remove the old ones and have good ones for replacement.
