Default Re: Unknown manufacturer of Lufthansa 707

Tach' auch!

This model was part of the Lufthansa frequent flyer award program (today: "miles and more") of the late 60's early 70's. From the same maker a Viscount is existing as well. Unfortunately there is no indication about the manufacturer, since it is just written "Made in Federal Republic of Germany" on the bottom of the base. Later LH award models were made by Verkuyl (727) and Lutz+Weiss (A300, DC-10). Finally LH stopped this award system and changed to "miles and more".. arghh! Maybe someone else on this forum knows the maker, would be interested as well.

Nice avatar .. TCO 727. I do love this tin plate birds. Luckily LH features the Schuco Replica Viscount in the recent miles and more offers, this was the first time for me to discharge my miles for something really usefull! Back to the good old times...
