.....Just what I learned on in the early 1970s. Always had a fondness for piloting high wings to have such a great view of what I was flying over. I don't think the SR-22s were out yet(?).
.....Funny story with a Cessna 150 is I rented one in early 1982 just after my wife got over here (from Indonesia) to fly around the Charleston, SC area. Flew out over the ocean for about 20 minutes and she not only didn't like feeling every bump with that small plane but was highly disconcerted about flying over the ocean. Took and banked a turn back to Charleston, but it was a little too sharp for her. A full breakfast splattered the cabin and we flew back to Charleston with the forgettable aroma of her half-digested meal assailing my nostrils. That also ranks as my closest approach to a flying mishap.
....My most memorable flight was flying from Guam to Saipan & Tinian and back. Was spotted after landing on Tinian near the bomb pit where the B-29s were loaded with their A-bomb loads before flying off into history. I did have a panicky passenger, but thank goodness he didn't throw up.
.....Well, at least the registration N501PA lives on if only on a Cessna!
Dave (medically grounded since 1996... what a bummer!)
