In some scale model events there is a three foot rule or something similar, but in this example you stand 3 feet from the model and make it look as real as you can and skip the small stuff. In 1/400 scale I don't think we need turning fans or turning wheels, fixed wheels that don't pop off would be a good yard stick for me. This scale is just too small for that kind of detail, the efforts would be better placed in a new and accurate mould. How many times are we going to do the 747 over and over and over? A DC-4 or DC-7 with the detail found on toadays similar models would be much more appreciated, at least by me anyway.
