Default Intellectual property and the licensing of diecast models

My general-law class at college is discussing the concept of intellectual property as related to consumer goods. I presume manufacturers are faced with royalty payments for use of aircraft likenesses and specific liveries.

Anybody know how 1:1 entities are compensated by 1:400 producers?
Roughly what percentage of retail cost is given to Boeing, Airbus, Delta, Air France, etc. etc?
