This is a complex and convoluted subject.

Sue Richardson has all the details in her book "Collecting DieCast Aircraft, an international guide." That book may be hard to find, though.

Lintoy planes were sold by Corgi Toys, Bachmann Mini-Planes and Ertl from the early 70s into the 80s. After that, Road Champs took over the molds for its "Flyers" series.

The best quality were early Hong Kong production. 80s Singapore-made planes were not assembled as well. And the final Flyers series was very cheap.

Some early castings had private planes and business jets with moving plastic flaps, but this appears to have been discontinued. Also, many odd schemes exist such as an Air France L-1011 and South African 707.
