Beau - I use a staple to get the gear down...it is sometimes hard the first couple of times, but you get the hang of it.
Gottols & Flying Ace - To my knowledge, the numbers are lower than what the 1:400 models are. I know for a fact that the Delta N/C MD-88 is the second most limited so far, only behind the Delta DC-8-61 of which only like 250-500 were produced I believe. I can also tell you that the United DC-8-61 just sold out of our warehouse, and it was only released about 9 months ago. Exact numbers I do not have, but I hope that helps.
Everyone else - I love these models. I have given up collecting 1:400 since I've got the whole line and have seen what is coming. Very exciting stuff for a larger scale! Like any model, I'm sure they do have their inaccuracies, but I think they look great.
