I have to say that when i got the herpa models i have, i thought they were great. But when we went to London i managed to find a rare Schabak Boeing 777 1/500 amongst 1/600 and other scales. But when i put it up against a 747 made by herpa, the Schabak was a bit wider and bigger, the engines were larger and it was if it was handpainted and not printed. Does this mean that the Schabak model was out of scale or that the Schabak model is the same size as other manufacturers and that herpa is totally out of scale? Does it matter though. I find that herpa offer a better quality of model. I don't care if the nose isn't the right shape or anything like that.
