@ LOT: the "werewolves" were around in 1944 and 1945, it stopped immediately after their parents gave them a good whacking. That is because they were small groups of psyched-up Hitler Youth boys who still believed the war could be won (due to "miracle weapons" that never really existed). Germany held its first elections in 1949. There was no danger (like in Iraq) involved in voting. There were absolutely no "werewolves" around after 1945. Especially as most Germans were fighting starvation at the time.
