I too think there were better ways for her to die but her time was 15 years ago. Before the government wastes Millions on her just so the parents could live in a bubble where their child was still fine. I think this will set a new groundwork for future cases involving long term coma's and vegatative states. Sure medicine is a hope but lets be realistic about it we don't know how to fix flooded brains. Hell we don't know anything about thought processes at all. And as for her feeling pain. For us everything is generated by our brains, sight, smell, touch, ect.... So what is pain, what your brain says? No its just warning you that its bad for you, simple. There might not be any pain, its like an invisible fence for dogs just teach them no and it becomes habit so we avoid pain (rather its our body looking out for itself). Ask any scientist about all of our senses. Better yet do some research on brain surgeries where you'll find people think they smell popcorn, or someone is stepping on their foot just because part of their brain poked accidentally and they are conviced as hell of it despite some of these cases being IMPOSSIBLE. So in short we don't know anything about pain or whether she still felt pain, or how healthy someone is its just our perception of our reality that we form when we are bornand based on our own current situations! Not what we can see on an MRI or some other medical device. PERIOD!
