OUTSTANDING
This is a very good pictoral analysis of the Aero Mini vs. the Gemini 250 DC-8 you have done. I would have done something similar except that I currently have no Aero Mini '*'s in my inventory (all have either been sold or traded). But from what I recall of the Aero Mini lines, and having been one of the lucky few model geeks to have picked up the new Gemini 250 very early, I would have to say that Gemini is overall better than the Aero Mini. The amazing thing though, and I think this is evident from the pictures, is that Gemini stayed true to the Aero Mini line. The newer model DOES go very well along with the older Aero Minis, although I had my doubts that it would clash. My Delta is setting next to a custom Aero Mini Delta 737 made by Doctor_Fun on this forum for me and both look great.
But back to the topic: The original Aero Mini DC-8 are still high value and rare items, and acquiring these will be a must for completing the collection. But I think the Gemini250 will offer a chance to not only fill a void but also expand and existing line in ways not originally possible and at a fairly reasonable cost.
From the picture, I almost wonder if Gemini didn't reverse engineer the mould. But to hold it first had, the actual model is better I think than what Aero Mini produced.
