Default Revell Diecast

A real blast from the past.

I remember buying these and Ertls in the 80s and early 90s while in Berlin. Like Schabaks they were a waterhole in an otherwise dry toy shop.

I did manage to get the Tornado and the F14 in an old model shop in Vienna, it was like stepping back in time. It had lots of Aurora kits (including the MBT 70, which I also bought). I see you have the Gulf pink version (the Ertl was too dark) I also managed to get a Luftwaffe version in Vienna (sorry, no photo its somewhere in a box in England!)

I like these and the Ertls because you can pick them (and yes, I admit it, play with them). The CDC 1:100 series might be accurate but they are dull, as they have no undercarriage and the weapons fall off easily. Sadly toys are poor sellers and there is more money in the model versions.

Enjoyed the trip down memory lane!

Also enjoyed seeing Cider's super Schabak stuff
