Trust me, as a flight attendant for 15 years, you don't want to be qualified on "many diff aircraft," if you have the choice. The more planes you're qualified on, the longer your recurrent training is every year.
I'm currently qualified on 5 aircraft types- MD-80, 757, 767, 777 and A300. I'm an international F/A because I speak French and Spanish, and I was qualified on the MD-80 during initial training, which doesn't fly international routes. I have never worked on this plane, but every year I have to study and be tested on MD-80 emergency procedures and equipment, plus do a mock evacuation of the plane. It's a waste of time. You're best off only being qualified on the aircraft used on the routes you bid for.
If you want to fly international from the start, it's best to have foreign language skills, since it's the most desirable flying and is senior. Our Rome trip, for example, requires a MINIMUM of 28 years seniority to hold it, unless of course, you speak Italian.
