I found this website after I completed the model...there are lots of pictures of the actual NCC-1701A used in the Star Trek movies...and I still am amazed at how many details on the film prop were squeezed into the desktop model!

I should put breaks on starship modelling or I will ruin my entire life! First there was 1/500, then 1/400, later I went into 1/200, after that, 1/72 warplanes....now bloody Starships!
