detroit metro "NW WORLDGATEWAY" gets my vote since its the newest in the US, and it has the designs of an asian airport like osaka, hong kong as with others. It has an elevated tram that goes the length of the mile long concourse inside the terminal, the waterfountain of the routes that NW flies is pretty cool.. and a Spectacular 900-foot tunnel links concourses A to B/C, and features a synchronized light and sound show. DTW is abosolutely beautiful ... no doubt far more functional than the previous terminal ... but ... the problem with DTW is that the tram stops are too far apart .. so if your gate is in the middle of a tram stop you are walking and walking and walking even with mutiple moving walkways ... but still much better than the old terminal .. I can remember connect throught Detroit and you would land at Terminal D and your new flight would leave 30 minutes later from terminal A .. it was brutal.
