this weekend is Star wars weekend at MGM orlando.
I've got all three and, no, didn't fork out the big $75 price tag upon initial release. There are still plenty of the latter two figures at Border's stores in the Dallas area. The first figure (Anakin Darth Skywalker) was produced in much fewer quantities and is long sold out at retail.

All three of these, along with several G.I. Joe figures a few years back, were released by Chronicle Books. A seemingly unique concept - 12" action figure with accompanying book - that apparently didn't go over too well. More likely the case - the later C3po and Bounty Hunter were produced in much too great a quantity.
