The wifes definitely become a problem. My spouse and I have worked out an arrangement whereby I have to pay her the exact amount for every amount I spend on a plane...so you see...it is like paying double! OUCH. Its the only way to keep the peace but it is also only fair though. The thing though it truly slows the collecting progress down.
I have decided long ago to abandon the 1/400, and am just trying to get a remaining few to complete a couple of airline sets.
My big dilemma is as an avid Aero Mini collector what to do with this aspect. I have quite a few rare pieces. I don't know if I should start abandoning this to, keep at it, because this hobby is such a slow venture.
I am still waiting for the annoucement to see this new line, it is a good opportunity to get every new aircraft, but just don't see that happening for me. Seeing the new line will ultimately affect my longterm decisions and with no more Peckham models, theese new planes definitely look to be something very special.
