Parking your airplanes.
I have noticed in MANY airport pictures that you all are parking planes like 747, 764, 763ERs, 757, and sometimes L1011 and MD-11/DC-10 with the jetway at the very first door. This is not accurate. Almost all of these park at gates with the jetway at the second door. The exceptions are domestic L-1011s, 763 and DC-10s. If these aircraft are international, more times than not, they also are parked with the jetway at the second door.
Not only does it keep the planes from sticking out into taxiways, it allows for quicker passenger boarding.
Hope this info helps those of you with airport diaromas.
