Much of the info you desire is available through the FAA. Perhaps their web site might be of assistance. The Airmans Information Manual is a basic manual of safe operating practices, and should have lots of depictions of airport markings. This book is available at any flight school and often in-stock at larger book stores such as Borders, Barnes and Noble, Waldenbooks, etc. Good luck!
