I have flown the 737-300/500 for the past 11 years, and sat in the A-320 jumpseat once. Don't know much about the NG series, but presume it to be a vastly improved "classic". Boeing's guppy is a superbly engineered and nearly invinceably reliable gem to fly. The A-320 appeared reasonably user-friendly to a casual observer. When the ***** hits the fan and systems fail or pilots encounter difficulty interfacing with technology, the Boeing seems easier to manage. I believe they are built to more rugged standards and look forward to comparing a 25 year old A-320 airframe to the venerable 737 of similar vintage.
