Although I don't collect 1:500 models at all, I got a single 1:500 model in my collection, bought a JAL 747-400 as a gift for my nephew.
About the Sky500 Korean 777, I think Sky did a pretty good job here. It's very detailed. Got a question, is Sky's gears plastic or metal ?? |

Sky500 is a brand name only. They contracted to use this mould, which is 100% diecast metal. The owner of this great mould will be revealed in the near future when he announces his first official release.
BTW, both the 777-200 and -300 were developed simultaneously so we will see both used very soon with this new line of models. I am a huge collector of widebody 1:500 models (I have 40 747s), so I am super excited to see this new line of models. The next mould to be released is equally as stunning. |

Does anyone know what the final production number is going to be on this bird yet. Going to be in the 300's like the "Freedom of Space" model or more closer to 500 units. Also anyone had any problems with tires(coming off, loose, not rolling properly) on this model.

I agree with your assesment of around 500. The Malaysia was only 360 units by the way.

Mine arrived yesterday, thank you very much for your excellent service N. Eberhard!!! I'm soo happy with this one, here's some pics, enjoy!!Sky500 did a great work on the engine naceles, note the difference between RR Trent on Heliconia and PW 4090 on Korean.

Production numbers were 504 pcs on the Malaysian 777, & 252 pcs on the Korean Air 777.
