Default Why no more YS-11?

I would like to know why Herpa don't release YS-11 in the regular collection...As I know other airlines than japanese airlines (ANA, TDA, Southwest) used the type, like Vasp, Cruzeiro, Piedmont, Phuket Air...(even American Eagle!!!)Photos: NAMC YS-11A Aircraft Pictures | Airliners.net

Any toughts?

Sometimes it's strange to explain Herpa's decisions... There are a dozen more planes/livery which haven't been updated/released.

Probebly they don't see it making the potential amount of cash that a, lets say a ATR would make I guess . I wouldn't mind seeing a Piedmont and American Eagle though.

i asked herpa about this and yes, they said the liveries for this mould are rather limited and would rather not take them on.

I didn't think Herpa ever released a YS-11...only Hogan? I know they share (or shared) moulds but I only ever saw Hogan use a Herpa mould, not the other way around.

YS-11s dont sell. And by that I mean not enough to justify the cost of making them in a Chinese factory.

1/200 would make a lot more sense for a YS-11 model Karun. There are some very attractive and colorful liveries on the YS-11.

Hello Karun!

Below is a link to the ONLY one I can get in 1/200....$15.95

There just isnt many of these being made in any scale. The largest airplane distributor in the US lists only 6 total and 4 of those are the 1/400 Geminis. The other is a 1/100 Piedmont.
