Default CX 1:500 "City of life" Special Model.

Finally come out but not for sale yet. The model looks excellent but the engines seem all white.

Looks like the box has been around for a few months. Is someone going to ruin my day and tell me this is a Herpa release? Very nice looking plane. Wish BB or SJ would get into the Cathay Pacific market. They make some of the best liveries I have seen.

Judging from the wheels and the wings.... this must be a Herpa. Lovely livery and can't wait to get this model. Fantastic....

Hope to see this plane in real life soon. Really an awe-inspiring livery.

Folks,

Received mine today (BTW: It's from Herpa).

What a beauty !!!

I must add this is only my third 1:500 (I'm a 1:400 kind o'guy) model (after Wunala - HW old generation - and SIA Tropical - SJ).

HW NG is quite an improvement and the livery... WOW !

Fox,

Where'd you get your copy? And for how much if I may ask?

Cliff,

Ordered directly from CX (http://www.cathaypacific.com/intl/pr...nt/0,,,00.html).

The plane is 200HKD (about 27 USD) but S & H is through DHL @ a fix rate (100 HKD for outside HK + 30 HKD handling) AND there might be custom duty to pay.

But the model is superb (I also recommend their 1:400 747-400 current colours. Herpa but...) and it arrived in Brussels within 1,5 days of it being shipped (yeap, it took the overnight flight - pretty amazing - Note: Brussels is a hub for DHL in Europe).

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. As long as it's the NG Herpa, I can get them. I won't do the old landing gear Herpa's anymore. They do some nice work, but with that old gear,...ugh!
Another nice thing is that it's not an "Exclusive" so everyone who wants one can get it.
30% of the cost for shipping. Ouch.
My thanks again, Fox.
