I found it neat that I have mostly SAS in my fleet!! (5 SAS planes). Second place is a tie: TWA (2) JAL (2) ANA (2) LTU (2) WestJet (2) American (2) United (2) Lufthansa (2) and about a dozen others with 2 planes each. Keep in mind that this includes 1/400 scale as well.

If it was 1:500 scale only it would be:

JAL (2)
SAS (2)
Delta (2)
ANA (2)
LTU (2)

I have over 40 planes in my 500 scale collection, and no more than two of the same livery! I never knew!

Cool thread!

Cool my mini SAA fleet...

In 1:500 I have:
SAA O/C 747-400
SAA O/C 737-300
SAA O/C DC-4
SAA N/C 747-400
SAA N/C 747-300 Ndizani (x2)
SAA N/C 747-SP
SAA N/C A300
SAA N/C Dash 8-300 (x2)

...then I also have all the SAA 1:400 models:
SAA N/C 747-400
SAA N/C 747-300 Ndizani
SAA N/C 747-SP
SAA N/C 737-800

...and then some more African liveries in 1:500.
I'm starting my 1:400 African themed collection now.
I also have various other non-themed models in both 1:500 and 1:400 that I find personally attractive.

Do you guys pattern your airports after real ones?
For instance, mine is based around the airlines you would find at Athens, Greece.
My home airline is Olympic and my home fleet consists of:

3 747
2 A340 (StarJets)
2 A300
4 737
2 717

Arrow themed airports

In 1:500...
I have a tarmac (no terminal) that models JNB international on one of my shelves.
It's the home for all my 1:500 SAA models.
They look real good all lined up on a tarmac with a few gse here and there.

I have another one, on another shelf, that resembles Harare international.
It houses my Ethiopian, Kenyan, Zimbabwean and Seychelles 767's with an occasional BA 747 visitor. There are many more spots waiting for nice new African releases. One is booked for SJ's Ethiopian 727 right now. Very nice release by SJ!

In 1:400, I'm still busy making a nice tarmac for my to-be African models.
EgyptAir 737-200 will be the first visitor to the new shelf when it's released. Maybe then GJ's EgyptAir 707 will follow that.

All my 1:400 SAA jets are on their stands in a glass cabinet.

Post cx list

sorry vegas woods, no photos so far.
I love to build up fleets without repeating models even if it gets obcessively stupid, as with the boxes on cathay,(speaking of which i couldnt find any diff. between the 744/frankfurt and the regular ng release).
I think now I will concentrate on SR/KL/BR/TG and AF.

My list of CX, L1011set(OC)SJ / 742(SOHK) / 742pax(OC)c+c / 742F(OC)c+c / 744 / 744F / 744(SOHK) / 744ng / 744ng(FRAdisplay) / 772 / 772ng / 773 / 773(newbox) / 333VRreg / 333 / 333(newbox) / 343ng
