they are the 747-400 Domestic or -400D
they did not put the winglets on because of the fact that they do not fly long or high enough for them to be useful......this saves some weight this is what I was told...if anyone else can add to this feel free

Spectre
- the Big Birds were mostly grabbed up via my email newsletter to our customers who are on our database - a few extras will be on ebay soon. Alpha - 2 of the largest collections on the west coast belong to myself and Andrew Klein (CAM). I can't say how large Gordon's is tho (the DAC owner). |

Sure TA - over 500 at last count not counting duplicates nor all the unbuilt plastic kits I have. The last Guinness book of world records I saw showed Bader Murad as the record holder of displayed airliner models - cant remember the # tho. |

Spectre,
You have a 1:16 model? That makes the wingspan, what, 5 feet and weighing in at around 40 pounds of steel.

Hey guys, where did these Big Bird models come from? Any truth to the renegade/secret StarJets rumor?
Anything else other than 747s? |

I don't know if thats true either but he did make a comment on these birds sometime before they came out, in support of the new brand.

Would be great to learn that Andrew was involved...only means good things to those of us yearning for less obvious liveries (do I hear any seconds for an Alia Royal Jordanian 707 or perhaps a Tunis Air 727)?

Hey Guys ,
The word on the inside is that BigBird will only release the 747-400 mold . Thus the reason why it is called BIG bird. As to where the mold came from, there is no reason for speculation. If it was an improved mold from StarJet OR a new mold strictly for BigBird, does not really matter does it ?? Yes, I know it is fun to know of the inside, but the owners do not want this info. out. So, let's just enjoy the releases that are to come !! You guys are going to be blown away !!

YYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! !!!!
FINALLY!!!!!!!!!! Big Birds ROCK!! 747-400s!!!! Lot's of em!!!!! Gorgeous models and a great company who will not detract from the obvious "Queen of the Skies" by making a Braniff model, 727-era aircraft, or a DC- (single digit) anything!!!! Know what, let me digress here. If they did in the future come out with a Braniff 747 model., the mould is so nice, I actually would buy it. But 744s.........Awwww, Yeah. (Pulse returning to normal...breathing becoming deeper). And.....I.....am....through.....(sound of cigarette being lit).
