Default What's this?

In looking at the Aviation Centre site, I was checking out the inflight sales JAL 763 picture and note an A 380. It looks like 1/500, does anyone know anything about it?

Maybe there's some kind of a confusion here......

The JAL 763 is a Starjets; got one at home.

The A380, well, I'm not too sure but could possible be a C&C model. But not too sure though.

I doubt the JAL plane is a Starjets. It hasn't got any seams if you look at it really carefully. I'm putting my money on C&C, since they did make an A380 if I remember correctly.

Default Starjets or not?

The JAL 763 is a Starjets from the inflight sales of JAL. I have one at home too. The tail seam is not present as the rear stabilizer slides in from the rear. The question is, who's making the A 380?

looks like the same wing seams and nose gear as the Quantas/virgin 380s doesn't it?

Yes, I agree... I saw couple of them at Ebay for sale.
I heard that C&C A380s are still samples, not production models.
Not very interested...

Benjamin.

OK, can someone help me then.
I've heard rumours of two C&C Virgin 747s. One new colours and one old colours. The only pictures I've found have shown that both been old colours but two different types (one has the flying lady holding a Virgin flag, the other has her holding a Union flag).
Is there a true new colours (silver) model out there.
Plus, are these A380s remoteley accurate? Seeing as the real deal hasn't been built yet, just wondering how good these models were.
I know C&C are generally poorer quality at a higher price, but I would love a few Virgin models (might sound a bit pervy!) and some of the other airlines they do are cool, while SJ abd Herpa never look like releasing them.
Thanks for reaing the ramble
Dave

Hello Dave,

You mean the G-VIBE " Dancing Queen"? Yes it's in NC. The silver paint C&C used on this model looks quite like that on Herpa's Alitalia Bvlgari 742. I'd say this C&C Virgin NC 742 looks good, if you can live up with the not-so-real nose shape.

Here's the pic:

Help this helps,
