Top of the "to do list" is to continue to point out the outrageous flaws in the JC wings' production, and the downfall of once reputable brand names, such as Herpa & GJ, because of the absolute absence of any QC or care whatsoever!
Abraham, if the truth hurts you or your buddies, so be it. There was once a time when they too thought Johan Chan was a curse to the hobby, but now since they're profiting from his output, their tune has changed.
I still attempt to collect Herpa 1:500 scale (do you?? ) however have been so put off by the poor quality since they moved their production to JC factory, I feel the need to be vocal in hopes of some eventual changes. There are a lot of models which I really wanted to buy, but just couldn't justify giving up my hard earned cash to the "JC money-grab".
A few examples; Air China A340 (cockpit windows), just about every A320 or A321 (wing dihedral; crocked gear), and others where the printing is way off, gear are bent beyond repair, or the general shape of the aircraft is anything but aerodynamically correct.
You think I've got something wrong with my head? That's your opinion, and an insult the forces that be at DAC may chose to leave intact, however, I do admit to having some lifetime passion towards aviation which the likes of Johan Chan, Jimmy Wu, & Johnny Lo and all their pirate brands mentioned in my signature line have put a damper on.
Say what you wish; it's a free country afterall, however I speak with facts based on truths; you speak on pure conjecture.
Bottom line, and I hope Herpa (and others) reads this stuff, continued production via JC wings factory is a sure recipe to continued downfall in sales, and tarnishing of your (or other's) brand name. Don't insult us collectors with garbage, and substandard cheap junk; we're not interested!!
