This was one of the BA tails that visited ORD all summer. I have some great pics of this one. The one tail I never got a pic of was the whale rider.
All I see is 777's everyday come fall. They still look nice, but I really love seeing the 747's landing twice a day. Gemini Jets/Please deliver us the 747 whale rider soon! Scott |

I actually saw this one in person on my last trip to Heathrow! I must say, if you have the money, take a trip there just to see the planes...you will have a holiday!

Of the Australian tails I prefer the Nalanji and Wunala better but I find the World Tail concept to be a FANTASTIC idea and its a shame that BA thought differently.
For model collectors, and spoters alike diversity is GREAT and nothing as colorful and varied as the World Tails on a large fleet of airliners. Imagine if AA decided to paint the flags of the individual states on the engines of let say their 738 or 757! THAt would be intereting. They could place the flags opf the international destinations on their 777's American Eagle has done something like that with the ATR's here in SJU with flags and heralds on the fuselage of several it makes an ATR varied and interesting, imagine what it would do for the rest of the fleet! I do agree that the world tails are GREAT! I've been taking pictures of them all summer at ORD. I really got some terrific shots.
Its sad that BA is painting over all these wonderful tails. I always read that the people of England never really like the tails from the start and that thats the reason their changing the livery. If anyone has heard different please let me know, Scott |
