Thumbs up How about this world tail...

This would be too cool:

'Waves of the City'

USA World Tail - New York City (Go figure that I would be asking for it).

I would take one of these, and the "Water Dreaming" one as well.

I wonder, though, no matter how accurate their printing techniques, how well the mosaic look of the "Water Dreaming" tail would be realized in 1:400.

Good point Pete. Pictures make "Water" look like a bunch of dots on the tail. The actual artwork, however, is an intricate work of color.

I'm sure that given the chance our pals at Gemini can pull it off.

Don't think the BA DC-10's wore any of the tails.
I love the concept of the World Tails and think it was a stupid decision to go away from the ingenious and colorful scheme.

Default Great tail

I first saw this livery in SFO over a year ago. I took some great pics of this one landing at ORD as it flew over mannheim road landed along the south side of the international terminal.

Lets see more world tails

You are probably right about that since I have never seen one.
I was going off of a BA inflight magazine dated August 1998.
It has a section that lists all the BA fleet specifications and it shows a drawing of a DC-10 in the Waves Of The City scheme.
I guess that was planned but never happened. Too bad, it looks great!

Good choice Marc. I've seen the BA 777 with this tail several times coming in over the homestead on base to final into DFW, and it's quite distinctive. I would gladly part with some hard-earned $$$ for a "Waves of the City" 777!

There really wasn't any choice to make Doc.

The Artist who created the tail design is from New York City, and it is this city that inspired the artwork (pretty circular sentence structure don't you think? It's pretty obvious that I didn't major in English. )

Wink Sample

A sample was shown at the Seattle show. Give it time and it will show up.
