Default I forgot when GJ began; can you remind me?

There are about 160 liveries, now, from GeminJets;
I remember the day I bought my first GJ; It was United Airlines's 747-400. What I dont remember is the aproximate data thar GJ
was born, all I know is that when I bought my United's -400,
GeminiJets was a new born.

When did GJ began producing models?

I believe around late 1998/early 1999. I'm not sure though.

Default does it really matter

Why does it matter when Gemini Jets first started selling their models. What matters is that you found these great models and enjoy collecting them year in and year out.

End of story

Don't know when they started but do you know why GJ is making great models? Because I've heard this rumor that prior to starting GJ, the guys were being subcontracted by Boeing to make the airplanes for them.

Hmm, when did they really start? All I know is that they make damn good models.

I just am glad they are here. Competition breeds variety...and lately, GJ has proven that point. Thank goodness for my Ozark and Republic 727's!

Default Interested as well!

I don't have an answwer, but I am as interested as Full Flaps! in knowing when GJ and the other manufacturers such as DW and Aeroclassics started their business as well.

Management of each manufacturer should be able to answer these questions!

Thanks in advance!

Samples existed as early as 1998 as far as I know but sales to the public didn't begin until January 1999 at the show in la la land. Ruben had a few examples of both Virgins and the Air China. The company was so new, in fact, that one of the Virgins came in a white sample box with no details of the model on it. If you look at the early Gemini examples you can see steady improvements over the last three years. All I can say is that I'm very glad I attended the '99 show. It opened my eyes to the wonderful world of Gemini Jets.

I spotted GJ planes early in 1999. They ran their ads in Airliners magazine around that time. Bought the Virgin 747's in Spring 1999 and have never looked back.

Just went back through my credit card statements and see that I first bought a GJ 25 Nov 99 from Skyjets400. I believe it was the regular release BA HK 747, though I've bought so many since I really cannot remember if that was the first.
Thank you Ruben for providing me with my first of many

Good Idea, I have to go to my credit card history,
but I think CADAVRE is right; Early 1999.

If this is true, I have but an average of one model
every 6.03333 days. That's lots of models.

Thanks to all.

Did Gemini intend to release the current six or so every month from the start?
