Talking My wife is selling my models on E-Bay!

She has figured out that my models are worth some big bucks, so she has informed me that when I am at work, she will be selling some of the valuable ones and investing the money into her wardrobe fund.

So if anyone here sees a GJ BA Hong Kong release 744, a Qantas F1 744, or the Braniff Club 747, or any Pan Am GJ releases, being sold from a seller from Colorado, please let me know!

Hey T Man,
Why don't you take some of her wardrobe to work and sell it on Ebay, then bid for your treasures when you see them.
Most women would never admit that they've lost some of their wardobe somewhere, and the money stays in the family.

Default E-bay active wife

T man,

I could do with a Qantas F-1 744 !

- maybe I could swap with some goodies in my girlfriends wardrobe - what size is your wife if you don't mind me asking !

Only joking !

Hope my girlfriend doesn't read this or she'll get ideas - this could be dangerous !

Hmmm, perhaps I can see someone investing in a safe....

Good luck

Bill

Are you kidding. First I would have to get past the Gaurd Dog, and then, even if I did get something out of her closet, she would know something is missing within an hour. Strange - they sense these things.

Don't mess with a womans clothes.

Why don't you guys just block eBay access from her computer? Pull the network connection from the back, or the phone line - works equally well - and type http://www.ebay.com. She'll get a 404 error, meaning the computer can't find this URL. The failed attempt will also be cached so that future attempts will use the cached page (the failed one, remember?) and not get there. BAM - our collections are safe.

Brian, good one, but that's also a sure way of getting in trouble with people called "in-laws"

See I told you guys, its started...the wives have banded together. Whose wife is the leader of the pack...or could it be that this is a sinister plot hatched by one of our members in order to scoop up our treasured models?

We need someone with mojo!!! Where is crownvic?

Hmm, so what's your criteria for choosing? How about a mail order bride from the Philippines? Does that count? You did say your whole collection right?

Well, sorry folks, but I am keeping my wife.

Let me just say, this morning I seem to be missing a one Gemini Jet's Pan Am J. Trippe model. On the other hand, there is a new sweater in my wifes closet? Hmmmmmm.

Advice from a married man:

Under NO circumstances are you to trade, sell or give away any or all models because of a woman. Most of us know there are no women on this planet who actually like men's hobbies, but you should be able to find one who will at least tolerate them. The look on her face when she first sees your collection will be the first indication of her long-term compatability.

You now have all the information necessary to obtain your very own wife - go get her!!

Good luck Travelin' Man..... hope they will not "take off" from your shelves quickly. Better keep stock or some kind of inventory of your precious wings.....

As I was typing that advice, she came to mind. But she hasn't been around for a few weeks, so I think I'm safe. And by the time she does roll around, this thread should be buried down deep enough. I hope.

That is, of course, unless one of you knuckleheads turns me in.

Question

To those almost-married men: would signing a contract with your other "Don't ever mess with my hobby after we married" help to prevent this after effect?

Need a divorce lawyer, T-Man? Or perhaps just a restraining order?
