Question Would anyone buy a People's Express 727?

Since GJ is quite exploratory with many of their releases, would anyone besides me want/need/like a People's Express 727 from Gemini Jets?

Does anyone even remember People's Express???

Cool

I'd buy one. Their scheme is too ugly on the 747, but on the 722 it's OK.

I'll buy it because it's important in airline history.

Yup!

1. It's a 727.

2. It is historically important. (big time)

3. It's not euro white. (It's not white at all!)

4. The paint job looks way better on a 727 than 747.

5. It's not some weird one-off scheme. Not even the common CO merger scheme.

6. You can spell the name so many ways. I prefer PeoplExpress. (That's how the titles on the cabin are). People Express, PeopleExpress, Peoplexpress! Wow--people is one of those words that if you say or type too many times, doesn't sound like a real word any more. Try it: peo-ple. Sounds kind of made-up now, doesn't it?

I'd buy it! It's a nice scheme no matter what aircraft it's on, IMHO.

I am in the middle of reading "Hard Landings", and I definitely would like this one. Good book, and after reading it...good airline!

It would probably make a really nice looking model. I wouldn't want it personally though, as I don't happen to LIKE that livery... but if it will give collectors something to do besides complaining about the Braniffs, then I'm all for it!

I'll buy it if it's a GJ and not a Dragon. Dragon still has yet to convince me that their quality can be consistently high from release to release.

This is like asking anyone in the know if they'd like a band of unruly hookers to come over to their house for lunch and really let go.

Yup !

I'd go for a GJ Peoples Express 727 too...

The 727 is one of Gemini's better moulds I feel - wish they would improve all their 737's though - nose is too pointed and doesn't quite capture that Boeing look.

Would I purchase a GJ Peoplexpress 727?

Is the Pope Catholic?

Does a bear crap in the woods?

Is bin Laden and his 'friends' living on borrowed time?

Hell, yes, I would!

I'll take one. And we can enclose a complimentary copy of Don Burr's "Precepts" to go along with it. Poor Don. He tried to get those precepts in place at Continental when Frank Lorenzo was in charge and eventually got run out of the board room by Darth Lorenzo. Too touchy-feely for his evilness, I guess.....

Hard Landing, great book. Very entertaining as well.

Yes, those were the only airframe types flown by PeoplExpress.

I'd gladly take a PeoplExpress 737-130. Of course that would mean yet another mold, and we don't have enough 737-200's yet as it is!

I would buy a PEOPLE EXPRESS 727 in a heartbeat!!! It would be great if they made the 737 also, what a great airline that was! In fact, my DW PEOPLE EXPRESS 747 is one of my favorites.

Give us the PEOPLE EXPRESS 727 & 737!!!
