Default Lack of Embraers

Hi guys, please forgive me if this has been discussed before (I'm sure it has) but where are all the ERJs/EMBs in 400 scale? Considering their popularity, I would imagine there would be more models out. I do know that Herpa has a UA EMB-170 and that JC wings came out with a couple of 145s, but thats pretty much it. How come there isn't more?

There is also a Delta Airlines E-170 and a large number of ERJ-145s from GJ, PHX, Tucano, DW.. Moulds, we definitely need in 1:400 are the E-175, E-190 and E-195, plus the ERJ-140 and an ERJ-135.

I support the petitions. As the third aircraft manufacturer in the world I can´t understand why there is only a few Embraers released in the diecast market.

Cheer up, Peggy! We're only in the first month of the new year, anything might happen! On the other hand, they probably won't make very many if any Embraers... Maybe some more Bombardiers! That's the ticket!

the Herpa E-170 is a nice little model. But I think most people are more interested in the E-190.

Going the other way, I would love an EMB-120. If Saab and Shorts can be done, then this one is not impossible.

I like both E170s and E190s.

Unless Herpa steps up to the plate again, JC Wings will be the only company hopeful. Far East manufacturers are generally interested in Far East models and when China makes a real go with their C919, that will add more fuel to Far East moulds.

More Bad News

As per the stock report below, top investment financial expert, Jim Jubak axes Embraer for 2011.

Embraer (ERJ, news): This Brazilian maker of regional and business jets had a great year -- the stock returned 36.4% in 2010 -- but the aircraft market is shifting under the company's feet. And more quickly than I'd had expected. China is determined to build a domestic aircraft industry, and it's making fast progress. Commercial Aircraft of China now has 100 orders for its narrow-body C919 passenger jets. (Although as Airbus and Boeing (BA, news) know, taking the orders is easy; delivering planes is the hard part.) The C919 is more of a threat to Boeing and Airbus, granted, but I don't want to be in the path of a government-supported Chinese aircraft industry, thank you.

I would like to see some EMB's as well. The herpa model left a lot to be desired in the actual painting. In US schemes you could do:

E-170
United Express Old & New
US Airways Old & New
Delta Deltaflot & New(?)
Mokulele
Midwest
Frontier
California Pacific (if it gets off the ground)

E-175
Delta Deltaflot & New
Northwest
US Airways

E-190
Midwest
Frontier
US Airways
JetBlue

Great suggestions. Would love to see some E-Jets sooner or later. Though I don't believe the 170 ever appeared in Delta's current livery. I think they had Shuttle America switch over to the 175s before that could happen. With that said, I don't think the 175s ever appeared in "Deltaflot" colors. The 170 also never appeared in United Express old colors. They were delivered starting in 2004, which was after the switch from "battleship" colors to the current crap colors...lol. Anyway, you gotta add Air Canada to the 175 and 190 list! I'd love to see those!

By old United I meant the blue stripes, the new united is the CO based scheme that the 170s will find themselves in shortly. I did a search and you are correct on the Delta.

I second the addition of the Air Canada 175 and 190, as well as an Aero Mexico Connect 190.

These are the first three Gemini could make when they have the moulds.

They need to be made quickly as the livery of all three is changing this year.

how does that logic work, that they have to be made quickly?

I didn't realize there was a rule that you couldn't make a model of an old livery...
