Default GJ KLM 737-9K2WL PH-BXO custom - who wants one?

KLM currently operates an all-Boeing 737 domestic fleet including:

AircraftIn FleetOrders

Introduction

Boeing 737-30670introduced in 1986/ to be phased out, replaced by 737-700

Boeing 737-40690introduced in 1989/ to be phased out, replaced by 737-800

Boeing 737-7K257introduced in 2008

Boeing 737-8K2210introduced in 1999
Boeing 737-9K250introduced in 2001

Interesting is that all KLM next-gen Boeing 737 aircraft were delivered under the Boeing-code 'K2', which is the code of KLM's subsidary Transavia, while the calssic 737 and all widebody aircraft have the KLM code: '06'. eg. Boeing 737-406, Boeing 737-9K2 or Boeing 777-206ER..
KLM subdevides the names of their aircraft after their types. For example all MD-11 are named after famous women or the 747-406 fleet is named after international cities and so on. KLM's 737-9K2s are named after birds, carrying the Dutch name on the port-side and the English name on the starboard-side of the aircraft:

PH-BXO Plevier/ Plover
PH-BXP Crested Coot / Meerkoet
PH-BXR Nightingale/ Nachtegaal
PH-BXS Buzzard/ Buizerd
PH-BXT Sea Tern/ Zeestern

KLM is the European launch carrier of the Boeing 737-900. The aircraft have a seating configuration of 189 seats (51/0/138) (Business/Economy Comfort/Economy). KLM only offers two main classes in general and is one of the very few international carriers that do not offer first class at all. In 1991 the airline eliminated its first class on its DC-10 aircraft due to low demand on the Amsterdam-Caribbean routes. The tremendous increase of efficiency led KLM to cut its first class completely..
The five 737-9K2 in KLM's fleet are mostly operated on high density routes in Europe connecting Schiphol with Paris, London, Madrid, Rome, Barcelona, Milano, Istanbul and sometimes Stockholm, Copenhagen, Moscow, Tel Aviv, Geneva...
The first Boeing 737-9K2 was PH-BXO, serial number 29599 LN:866 which flew on the 1st of June in 2001 for the first time. PH-BXO was delivered to KLM on the 29th of June in the old scheme, which was revised in 2003. PH-BXO wore special 'The world is just a click away' titles to promote KLM's website for a short time in that livery, too.

After the introduction of KLM'S new livery in 2003, PH-BXO got repainted in late 2004 to the current livery. The model done by Gemini Jets represents PH-BXO in this period of time.

In Spring 2008, PH-BXO was upgraded during a D-Check at Schiphol by KLM Maintenance. The plane recieved winglets and the classic 737 eyebrows were removed to adjust the next-gen 737 to the new delivered 737 and their standards. This is how PH-BXO is currently operated by KLM.

In late 2009, I flew on the AMS-CDG route using KLM. The flight was scheduled on a 737-9K2 and i had the pleasure to fly with PH-BXO. The pictures in the attachment show PH-BXO standing in the morning sun at Paris after my short flight. I collect all aircraft i've flown on and aircraft that fly in and out of FRA, so i had to upgrade my model of PH-BXO. I was lucky that i bought this model, not knowing that i would fly on the aircraft itsself one day, because it's not easy to find nowadays. The fact that Gemini Jets did PH-BXO made it easy for me, because i didn't need to change the registration or the name of the model. Another fact that made the conversion very easy was, that Gemini released a 737-72K, which all have been delivered with winglets. The only thing i needed to do was to swap the wings-section from both models to create my perfect PH-BXO! The only decals i needed to add were the overwing exits and the underwing registration, no painting required
I was able to get another 737-72K from ebay and still have the decals for more conversions. I know that there are many KLM fleetbuilders here on DAC, so i would like to offer to do the conversion for one of you...

My offer is €45, including:

- GJ 737-7K2WL wings
- overwing-exit decals
- 'no step'-zone lines decals on the wings
- underwing PH-BXO registration decals
- removal of the classic 737 eyebrows
- truing and gluing of the wings
- clear coating
- international shipping

PM me if you want your GJ PH-BXO to be upgraded to its 2010 look..
