Question Outgoing wire transfers anyone?

I am planning to pay late400starter for some planes next month through HSBC, so does anyone here knows the price for an outgoing international wire transfer? And is it compulsory to have a bank account at HSBC or any bank to do that? Can't find the info on their website.

Always wondered about an HSBC to HSBC international transfer, if it would cost anything. But if its an HSBC to another bank overseas, you should check with your HSBC branch to see how much it costs. But you will need to keep in mind that some (receiving) bank(s) would deduct the amount transferred a fee as well.

If you are HSBC Premier, transfers between accounts in different countries cost nothing. You can actually see all the accounts on a single web page and transfer between them freely.

We have HSBC accounts in four different countries and do this all the time..

Unless you have some kind of status with the bank, wire transfers are expensive. Probably at least S$20.

If you have a bank account in Singapore, you might be able to open a PayPal account -- that way you can pay anybody anywhere where PayPal is accepted.

20 dollars is okay in my opinion, since I have no credit card and my bank account is not in my control. But the thing I am wondering about is Western Union, the sad thing is the minimum age must be 18years old and above, I wonder how much they charge.
