Default Average Market Time of GJ or DW

What is the average amount of time a GJ or DW stays on the market? (At the regular price) Thanks

Very complex question.

Generally, on "average" for the GJ's about 3 months (2 @ 30 days and 1 @ 31 days), 4 days, 22 hours and 7.5 minutes.

The Dragon Wings? Until after all of us and our children are dead.

Seriously, there are so many variables such as quantity produced, popularity of specific model, local availability, etc. that affect prices. Market conditions will vary from region to region. If you can't find a fair price in your area odds are you can somewhere via the net or mail order - within a "reasonable" amount of time after release.

What is a "reasonable" amount of time? Again, that depends.... It is very rare that a model is so much in demand it's retail price goes up sooner than you can blink or take a dump - but it does happen on occasion (Herpa Peter Max, GJ Formula 1).

To build on that, popularity and availability might also depend on variants of a model made. Dragon made two NWO DC-10-40's, Jet-X made one. That there are three variants out there, they won't sell as quickly.

I'd popularity is the big factor, with availability a close second. Looking at the sold-out list on the GJ web site, you can definitely see a popularity pattern. Of course there's the combination of popularity and availability, like the Qantas F1, which sold out very, very quickly.

Actually, all releases are still available, either from dealers or eBay. The only factor you have to consider is price.

Didn't the GJ F-1 sell out in about two weeks? Yet they are generally available on eBay for $65USD or so. About a year ago I paid about $102 for a BA Hong Kong regular edition. This was a bit high by today's prices but I was willing because this completed the 4 aircraft (at that time) set.
