Default Which one should I buy United Airlines B747-400 from Aviation400 or Gemini Jets?

Hi,

I am considering to buy an 400 scale United Airlines B747-400 in new colours. Which one should I choose AV4 or GJ? I hope to hear some feedbacks from you, guys.

Thanks

Dragon---only one with the right engines! (and I still say Dragon has the best 744 mold anyways) Dragon's n/c 763 and 772 have the colors wrong, but their 744 looks much better.

The AV400 doesn't have blue pylons, so go for GJ!

If you won't buy DW, then get the GJ.

So you couldn't see the wings were plastic, you only knew they were, and that's what annoyed you? An invisible property? Plus the fact that DW's wings are thinner and more accurate/more to scale.

I consider the fact that GJ and AV400 quite visibly have the wrong type of engine much more annoying, since you see them every second that you're looking at it.

(the above is true for all UA and NW 744 models--only DW has them right)

PS---did you know that much of the wing skin of a real 747 is composite plastics/fiberglass, and not metal? That's why you'll never ever see a 747 with bare metal wings, except for the extreme leading edge.

Maybe you should save your money for something worth your while... Maybe like a 1:200 scale or just save your money, but thats just me, however you asked for opinions and I gave you mine.

Did you know that most affordable 1:200 scale models are plastic?

Personally, the wings could be made from cat hair as long as it looks realistic.

Hey, leave the cats alone

I agree, 1/200 plastic are cheap and they've come on leaps and bounds - I've bought more and more Hogan and the like and, given recent QA/accuracy issues with the more established diecast manufacturers, I am not regretting my decision.
