I love em all, but if I had to pick one it would be the Canadian DC10-30 "Spirit of Canadian" Signature jet.

Thumbs up

The Air New Zealand 747-419 with GE engines registered ZK-NBV. I flew on this aircraft last year from Sydney to Los Angeles so I'm kinda partial to it, and Air New Zealand's 747-400s are my favourite!

For me it's a 3 way toss between KLM, SQ Tropical and QF Wunala Dreaming, all, of course, 744s. And right behind those is the Japan 767 AWACS and the 747 w. Shuttle.

Tough choice. Some definite favs are:

Caledonian L1011

Canadian 763

Korean MD-11

China AL MD-11

Impulse 717

Wunala Dreaming (they pulled that off in their hit and miss days. I hope they try Nalangi with their current quality!)

AA Retrojet 738 (MM)

AA MD-8X (all are nice)

JAL Reso'cha 743

------------------

Favs GJs (for balance)

Mexicana DC-10

National DC-10

CP 742

Delta L1011, 741

Delta, Aeronaves, Eastern, Alitalia, NW DC-8s

Korean (OC) 747SP

Korean 773 (can you tell I like their colours?)

Saudia, Air France 707s

BOAC 741

----------------

You know, I collect and like both makers, but I've always found that DWs have more of a "wow" factor coming out of the box. I think it's because GJ's metal tails just look too thick to me, or maybe it's less detail for the control surfaces.

Thumbs up Favourite and Most Innovative DragonWings Releases

Sean,

I think DragonWings had several very good releases, the Caledonian L-1011 and CP Air B747 on top of the list. I also love their B767-400 mould (the availability of more colourful B767-400 liveries definitely depends on the real thing's sales).

Furthermore, DragonWings' B717 is noteworthy as something like "the most innovative release" so far.

Hmm....it's really hard to decide which is my favorite Dragon model. I like them all. If I had to choose, I guess it would be my very first 1/400 model, the Lufthansa A340-200 in the Star Alliance colors.

It's got to be that twin-decked flying salami, the A-380. I hope I can get one at Airliners Northeast.

Although I know that many of you will disagree, I like the model forms of the early impressions of what planes will look like. Once they actually enter service, the discrepancies are interesting. For instance, many models of the F-117 stealth fighter have too much sweep back.

Definitely the Wunala Dreaming for DW. I don't think there's any other that comes close as far as I'm concerned.

I love most of them but I love the printing quality of the windows from GJ. They have the right size and the frame is not as thick as DW.

My favorite is the Cathy Pacific "Spirit of Hong Kong". Hopefully one day I can say it is a American CV-990!
