Well this is a Trident 3B, not as if it has been done before. I believe only two were sold to China & the final Trident's off the production line. I guess it could have been worse with more variations of a BOAC Britannia

GJ don't have a Britannia mould, so that wouldn't happen! What is unusual is that GJ's policy is usually only to do 'one type per airline' with most airlines and they have already done a CAAC Trident 2 in this livery!
I think the majority would have wanted the only Trident livery left, that's worth doing - KUWAIT AIRWAYS delivery scheme with the lovely blue tail and red lettering(much better than the final short-lived Kuwait livery GJ made!)

One more than we've got already - and thanks to GJ for that!

I don't see what the issue is... Trident 3 is as different to a Trident 2 as a 747-400 is from a 747-200. Various manufacturers have done type variants from the same airline - why should not GJ do a CAAC 3 (which IMHO is a nice choice). At least GJ are using a different mould for the two CAAC Tridents - some manufacturers do countless cheap-to-produce trivial minor variations on the same aircraft type and livery.

Don't forget the Landor schemed Trident 2 and Trident 3. I'd take one of each of those!

Landor 1-11 as expected!! Excellent!!
The BA 747-400 CIVW will of course also be on my list - slides in nicely with VV,VX,VY an VZ for fleet building purposes!!

Mmm not sure on these. Can anyone confirm 100% that these actually flew in the Landor scheme? I believe not.
I know that there is a photo somewhere with a Trident 2 and 3 in Landor but i believe they were repainted once grounded and used for fire drills etc. I am not sure that they were actually used in service in the Landor colours.
I hope someone can correct me as i would love them both if they did.

Is it official yet? GeminiJets website hasn't updated.

But, if it is...

Woohoo! QANTAS and BRITISH AIRWAYS for MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

Wow, I think us BA fleet collectors are going to end up with most of the BA 744 fleet from GJ at this rate? CIVV, CIVW, CIVX, CIVY and CIVZ?!

Hopefully we'll see a KLM 744 to complete the KLM widebodies soon. There's only a combi available with fake reg made by Dragon Wings so a 744 (like PH-BFG or so..) would be great!!! Well done Gemini!!! That 773 will look awesome beside the 772, MD-11 and the A332... AA, BA and Q: September => The oneworld-month! Very cool

Those Tridents never flew in Landor colours, they were as you suggest used as ground trainers in various roles. That doesn't mean they shouldn't be done as models though because they did exist in Landor livery for a short while...

The 1:200 UA A319 gives me hope that we will FINALLY see this long overlooked bird (Dragon's was terrible) in 1:400, since Gemini seems to be producing similar models in both scales as of late.

Wow...another great release of Qantas. One for me. I would take the BA B744 only if GJ will use the new landing gear this time. I was cheated to buy the previous release with the old mould in a new box!

Every version in every livery they wore, thankyou!

More Trident 3B's to do yet:

-ACS (standard)
-ACS (red tail)
-BA Landor

I know that G-AVFG (2E) and G-AWZK (3B) never actually flew whilst wearing their Landor colours but they were familiar residents at LHR for many years and would certainly be welcome in my collection. I know one wore 'Spirit of BA Engineering' titles for some time ('FG I think) but I would not want to see it wearing those. Standard Landor - they both looked lovely in it. Actually, maybe even Aeroclassics could do G-AVFG in Landor for us. I do prefer their Trident given the choice.

Hey GJ---give us some KLM n/c 747 and MD-11 models! What's with the big Herpa/GJ KL 777 kick lately? 777 is boring, the MD-11 and 747 look far better.

Finally? They've only existed in the real world for a couple months, how much faster could it have come. We've been waiting for a UA 752 as delivered for a decade now... THAT will deserve a "finally" when (if) it's ever released.

Nice month of releases.

I'll be getting the WestJet 738, the AA 757WL, the AA 777, and the KL 773.

The Qantas is tempting.

Interesting that GJ has been emphasizing new registrations as opposed to truly new liveries recently. I guess with the economy the way it is, minimizing expenditures is the order of the day.

It's not just new registrations, but an improved mold and other fixin's. They may have been done already, but they're being done right with this new batch.

Phoenix MD-11 = Old Tucano mould.

The Gemini MD-11 mould is used exclusively by Gemini!

Did last month's AA 767 have a chrome or polished finish? I ask because I assume that this month's AA 777 and 757 will be done in the same way.

Well, all I can say is, sorry for being so annoying and worthless...
